Second shoot with new model Lynsey who has grown so much in confidence since our last shoot.

Isabel is an adorable 8 year old with a great attitude. She came to the studio with her mum and sister and we all had a fantastic time.

Holly is a trained dancer and fitness instructor with a very interesting career. She currently runs a promotions company called Pzazz Productions and arranges many different events for all different types of people. https://www.facebook.com/Pzazzp/. She was a great model and full of enthusiasm and ideas.

This is first-time model Lynsey. The shoot had been arranged by a friend so her birthday. Initially, she was very apprehensive and not quite sure how to relax but after a very short time she started to enjoy herself and to get into the swing of things. By the time the shoot ended she was loving life and wanted to book another shoot straight away.

This client wanted some standard headshots but we managed to add some fun stuff too.

Really fun shoot with Cosplayer Emily. I was really impressed with the incredible costume she brought along. It was hand-made in America and the incredible way it was made almost made it look metallic. Emily was a joy to work with and was a very confident model.

Lovely shoot with an up and coming model. She was a joy to work with and I’m sure will have a very successful career.

Sian is a very confident and outgoing model. With a background in dance she is an excellent model who is open to experimentation.

I had a fantastic shoot with Rhee. She was confident, enthusiastic and great fun. We spent most of our time chatting and laughing and remembering to take some pictures. Rhee has a very versatile look and different lighting setups made a dramatic difference in her look. We have planned to do a lot more work together in the future.

This client wanted some quality interior pictures to advertise their apartment on Airbnb.

I had the pleasure of a great session with Liz. Although initially a little apprehensive, Liz relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I was invited to take some pictures for a lovely family in Cardiff.

Sasha is a beautiful Russian girl of Mongolian heritage and she has a unique look. We had a really fun shoot which was full of energy and laughter.

This large family wanted some pictures for Christmas. It was a very busy shoot with lots of children. The families were very pleased with the results and I also had a great time too.

I was asked to provide some standard agency pictures for these sisters. They were lovely to work with and very professional.

We source the best quality ingredients from our local suppliers, and everything is from within a 30 mile radius. Where possible, we also grow some of our own salad, veg and herbs.

Dogs welcomed with well-behaved owners…!  It’s a great place to stop off for refreshments, with or without the dog, whether you’ve been walking, or out cycling.

And don’t worry about muddy paws, boots or spokes too much, all welcomed in the right place, although we do ask that dogs and their owners remain in the bar area, and not in the restaurant!

Helmut Newton is one of my favourite photographers. He was a German high-fashion photographer whose subversive approach to subject matter brought an edge to his editorial spreads. “There must be a certain look of availability in the women I photograph,” he said of his models. “I think the woman who gives the appearance of being available is sexually much more exciting than a woman who's completely distant. This sense of availability I find erotic.”

Born on October 31, 1920 in Berlin, Germany, Newton’s Jewish heritage meant that he had to flee his home country during the Nazi rise to power. The artist settled in Australia in the 1940s, where he later set up a studio. Newton went on to photograph models Cindy Crawford and Charlotte Rampling for several well-known magazines, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Playboy, and Elle. Though he continued to work commercially throughout his life, he began creating more personal work during the 1970s.

In 1999, his now-famous book SUMO, was released by TASCHEN publishing house, chronicling decades of his most iconic work. The artist died in an automobile accident on January 23, 2004 at the age of 83 in West Hollywood, CA. Today, his works can be found in the collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the National Library of Australia in Canberra, and the International Center of Photography in New York.

We were commissioned to take some property shots for a client in Bath. The property was located on the outskirts of the city and had a lovely location. The client was very welcoming and was very pleased with the results.

I had the pleasure of taking pictures of little Camille and her lovely family. They were all very pleased with the pictures and little Camille was very special.

Another great Fuel Your Fire photo shoot at the Fuel Rock Club in Cardiff featuring the beautiful Pearl.

Attracting some of the world’s top sailors, racing the hydro-foiling GC32 catamarans on short courses, the global circuit spans the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

A photoshoot with the beautiful Pearl at Womanby Street in Cardiff. The street is the main venue for live music in Cardiff and has many bars crammed into a very small area. Some very interesting backgrounds and street art too.

The Film & Comic Con Cardiff was recently held at the Motorpoint Arena and Strong Rock was there to search out the best of the show.

An impromptu shoot by one of our photographers who was riding across Cardiff Bay Barrage.

These shots were taken by our founder, Jason Rochefort, taken during a recent trip to Tenby in Pembrokeshire. There were a tons of bikes in and around the town for the Bank Holiday weekend and the sun was shining!!

This series of images started as a project about water. The Cardiff Bay Barrage is an iconic landmark in Cardiff and transformed the landscape of Cardiff Bay when it was completed in 1999.

The barrage separates a 2 square kilometre freshwater lake from the Bristol Channel. The average tidal difference is 8m between the Bristol Channel and the lagoon and as such the barrage houses five huge locks to enable boat traffic to transition from the lagoon to the sea.

These locks are huge civil engineering projects in their own right and the hugely powerful machines required to operate these locks was the main subject of this series. The photographer wanted to show the massive scale of machinery required to control these huge bodies water.

Fuel Your Fire is a monthly event for creative people which is held at Fuel Rock Club on Womanby Street, Cardiff. The event is intended to be a fun and friendly experience for all and will provide those who attend with the chance to network/work with other creative individuals whilst producing some great images for your modelling/photography portfolio, or even just for fun! 

This shoot was all about letting your inner lunatic come to the surface, overcoming emotional and psychological obstacles to really expose the inner turmoil we have to deal with on a daily basis.

This shoot involved self-portraits with a difference. The photographer decided to take these shots with complete strangers and also gave control of the shutter to them. In addition to this, they were given a whiteboard on which they could write a message if they chose.

This is an interesting take on the self-portrait as the collaboration with strangers produced some interesting shots.

This was a pro bono shoot for some friends of the SRC. Yard Arts are a Bristol based company whose aim is to promote and encourage performing arts. www.yardarts.co.uk
